Figure painting workshop in June, 4 spots left!

There are still 4 spots left in Douglas Flynt's workshop (figure painting, June 1-12) and there's still time to sign up! The sculpture competition will be going on at the same time (June 8-12) with free evening events: viewings of sculptures-in-progress, a talk on sculpture & architecture and the Awards Ceremony Gala. email grandcentralacademy@gmail.com to save your spot.

This workshop is an extensive look at the process of drawing and painting the figure as well as an exposure to a process of developing a realistic oil painting of the figure, which favors the classical and academic sensibilities. The difficulty level is geared toward intermediate through advanced students but even beginners will find the explanations enough to attempt all the ideas presented and begin building a solid foundation.
There will be daily in-depth demonstrations/lectures ranging from approx. 1-2½ hours depending on the topic being discussed. The majority of each day will be filled with individual critique as students are allowed many hours to work toward the development of their own pieces.

(be prepared to stay into the evening with Doug -- if his last two summer workshops
are any indication)
